iOS 6.1 show no service randomly since beta1

I tried iOS 6.1 beta1.2.3.4.5 and now the final release all the versions showing NO SERVICE randomly at places with full coverage and I can only kick it to work by reset network setting and the network came back for few minutes then NO service again.

steps I made so far

1- restore to 6.1 betas and final release

2- update from 6.0.2 to 6.1 final release (today)

3- tried different carriers.

4- switched off the LTE / 3G .

non of the above steps worked I'm sure there is bugs causing this issue and it's still in the final release .

one thing I didn't try yet ( climbing the cell tower)😝

please tell me if any one facing the same issue?

P.S it happen to 4 iphones 5 mine and brother's

K, here is the deal. You gotta call your service provider and ask them to do a network reset for you or if you have a feature like Sprint, where you can do ##update# send on your keypad, that'll do the same thing.

Reason 6.1 is having issues is because after we updated from 6.0x to 6.1, it took our phone off our providers towers etc, so in low service areas we have the NO SERVICE in most cases.

Try it and update everyone else.

This fixed it for me right away, I am with Sprint.

I live in an area with good AT&T service... LTE. this update has been awful. Now after 4 iPhone 5s, they are sending me a brand new iPhone 5. AppleCare suggests that the store load 6.1 on for me. I'm crossing my fingers this will work. I will also try what you suggested. I hate having to get phone after phone... Especially since I feel it's a software and not hardware problem. Once I get the new phone and call AT&T about the network settings, ill update the outcome.

after updating to ios 6.1 on my iphone 4, i woke up to "no signal" to my cellular service. i contacted my carrier, they suggested removing/inserting my sim. still no service. i tried restoring network settings. still no service. tried restarting/resetting, still no service.

Finally i went to Settings-General-Cellular-and turned "Enable 3 G" OFF. my AT&T service bars came back, texts came through, i can check emails and get back online. everything appears to be working althought there is an "E" (error) where my network connection would normally be.

im still awaiting a call from AT&T (free callback if an ios 6.1 issue) to get some answers. at least im back amongst the living.

To all with this problem. I had tried all these solutions. Restoring to new phone, inserting sim card, turning 3G off, data roaming on and off, ....

This is not a hard problem if your iPhone 5 was working before the update. It is a soft problem that occurs under certain conditions.

For instance, if you are simply passing from 6.02 to 6.1 all can pass well. The problem occurs when the settings are changed when the phone is restored or the phone is unlocked, ....

Under all these conditins something in the settings is changed and iOS 6.1 goes into a loop, oscilating between no service, weak signal and good signal (specially in weak signal zones).

In my case it was simply the setting of the date to day/month/year that did not go with the language setting (english US). Once corrected, the signal jumped and have had no problem. On other iPhone 5s, without restoring or unlocking, I have had no problem in the same house.

You may need to find out what has changed in comparison with previous settings. Simply play around with the settings and check the signal.

My suggestion is only for iPhone 5 with routine upgrade and not for those who have installed beta or unofficial cracks. If you have, you may need to restore your phone to a clean version and then look for setting changes.

I see it's for the 4s. Got my iPhone 5, brand new replacement from Apple Care today. It's restoring from back up now. They put 6.1 on it at the Apple store. Once it finishes synching, I'll see how the cellular connection is. Since this is brand new, it might make a difference. I still think it's 6.1 bugs though. Maybe the will put out an update for the 5 soon.
