Apple doesn't support it, but the Late 2008 Aluminum MacBook supports 8 GB of memory. You can buy the memory in OWC or Crucial > http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/memory/Apple_MacBook_MacBook_Pro/Upgrade/DDR3
Before installing the memory, open > Software Update and install the most recent updates
