Hi,
I'm a sales rep in retail franchise and sold our demo ipad to a customer.
I thought I could restore OS to factory default using firmware downloaded but it doesn't work.
I need to have it done in 12 hours to honor the customer but i'm running out of idea.
My colleague tells me i may need to contact apple rep tomorrow morning but i'd really like to have it done so i can sleep in peace.
Any ideas?

Did you try Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings? That erases the iPad.
Demo unit does not have reset button... which leads me to here... i'm having error 3149 restoring to 6.01
downloading 6.1 build 4 and seeing if that would work...
Yeah ...of course, its a demo. There would be no way for someone to erase it. That makes sense. Does it have some sort of profile that prevents changing the settings, I imagine?

New ipad in our store would come with 6.01 but it seems someone pressed update button so it is installed with iOS 6.1 and i only downloaded itunes few hours ago so i believe it is the latest itunes. i've seen -1 error too so i may eventually need to call apple tomorrow morning and beg for mercy...

The latest firmware (ver 6.1 build 4) solved the issue.
I should've gone for 6.1 from the beginning..
I am not too sure why it wouldn't go back to 6.01 tho...

Can a demo unit of iphone can work and perform same as to a real iphone?

The features are working like camera, message even iTunes.
My iphone worn turn off and the charging port has something that the charger couldn't fit and we couldnt make the sim tray to come out.
