I dont think apple believe there is a problem. 6.0.1 contained wifi fixes, but they

didn't help anyone. And 6.1 contained no wifi fixes (according to their docs), so I

dont think they see the problem. And being apple, you can't tell them.

The Wifi issue has been all over the web since the release of iOS 6,

I think its a pretty serious and widespread problem. My ipad 4 connects

only to a very few 5GHz networks - i..e its pretty useless.

Common threads in the forums here are:

- its a problem in your router

- just reset network settings. that will fix it

- its just you. no-one else has the problem.

All are not true.

Very frustrating.

I have an iPad 4 that's been connected to a 5ghz wifi since November and I get exactly the same speeds as my Mac and PC do. Never had any problems with reception or slowing down or losing connection. I have 12Mbps service and I get 11.5 Mbps just like the rest of my computers.

I'm also not getting your your comment about trying to connect to many different 5ghz networks. Why? Sorry but most wifi issues have nothing to do with the computer, tablet or phone but with the network or routers themselves.
