I have purchased several ipads for our business and i would likethem all linked to one computer to manage them and make sure that they have the same apps etc. whn i pplug the i[pad in and try and drag the apps into th ip[ad it says cannot do this as you are not authorized.. So i go to authorisation under store autohroze and log in on the compter and go back to the apps and i get the same error message. Whn i ty and authorise/ log in again it says already logged in ?

I have been going around in circles with this noe for 2 days and its driving me a little potty as i know it is probably something very simple.

You're stuck in that dreaded iTunes authorization loop that happens from time to time. The only other suggestions that I have are to sign out of the ID in all of the iPads and then sign in again or reset all settings on all of the iPads again.

What I don't like about either of those suggestions is that they both relate to an issue with the iPad when I really think that the issue is in iTunes on the computer. It almost has to be otherwise it would be extremely unlikely that there is some sort of issue with every iPad. That doesn't seem likely.

Is iTunes updated to iTunes 11? All of the apps were purchased with the same ID that the iPads are signed into and the same ID that you are signed into in iTunes on the computer - correct?

You are dragging the apps but have you tried syncing instead or is there other content in iTunes that you do not want to sync to all of the devices?

yes i have tried all options ! dragging and syncnig to no avail . I have not tried logging out of everything and hten logging back in to all but it has got to be worth atry.

I must admit despise itunes and will be the very reason i stop purchasing apple products. I had numerous problems with my ipod which now lies erdundnt in my draw as it random jumbles all of my albums which drives me mental ! I have givne up hope of it ever resolving the issue and is now just another hardrive to my collection.

Thank you for the advice i will give them a try and get back to you to se eif this resolves the issue.

Open itunes computer, click on 'itunes store'. Go to account, then 'account information'. Under apple id summary/computer authorizations, how many does it say are authorized?

You can try to de-authorize all, then add the one you're using again.

Then, under itunes in the cloud/manage devices/remove all devices.

The only other thing that I can think of is that there is content on the ipad that's associated with another apple id that you are currently using.

A HA! That could be a possibility i ewil lask the member of staff if they have downlaoded one apps wihttheir account however the other one is fresh out of the packet and is linked to my account ?so although that may work for one it is not the solution to the other unless that is causing conflicting data. I will give it a go though and see where i get i will let you know the outcome,

thank you for your help

Thats a typical cause. Itunes sees that there's content on the device associated with another account and wants you to sign into that account on computer. It might be best to set up all devices as new, then sync with itunes, all with same computer, same itunes library, same account name.

Since you're trying to set up several deivices in an enterprise environment, you may want to look into this:
