how can you change the font for signatures?

I would like to distinguish my signature at the end of my emails from the font and colors utilized in the text of the message. How can I change just the signature font?

Go to Mail - Preferences and click Signatures. Highlight the text of your signature, make sure that the option "Always match my default..." is unchecked.

With the signature panel still open and the text still selected, click on Mail's Format menu and choose "Show Fonts". You can also choose "Show colors" from the same menu. Style the signature text, close the Preference pane.

Hope this helps.
