My new iMac has no dvd drive & it did not come with an installation disc.
How do I do a full restore from Time Machine ?

"If you have a USB stick or disc containing the Mac OS X operating system, you can insert the USB stick into your MacBook Air or connect a disc drive to your MacBook Air’s USB port to restore from the physical media without downloading anything."
QUESTION:
How do get the Mac OS X into our USB Stick ?
Called AppleCare and was told there is no need to even startup from thumbdrive.
When startup, press and hold Command-R, then the restore screen will come out !
