when i am in bed and i use my macbook pro there are times when its in my lap and i am using it it would act grounded sometimes it freezes any help or advice?

i dont know whats wrong i have this for less than a year. there are times that when i use it i put it on my lap. sometimes it gives like a grounded sound and its screen acts like its grounded. there are times it freeze. i thought maybe because its over heating but i doubt it... sometimes i feel like its because i rest my hands on it. i dont what to do or what is really going on
