iPhone 5, IOS 6, Weak Bluetooth Fix?

I recently upgraded from an iPhone 4, IOS 5.01 to the iPhone 5, IOS 6 and have been having trouble with the bluetooth. The signal seems to be very weak resulting in static and crackling while on the headset.

If I hold the phone close to the headset, it seems to work properly, however when I put the phone in my pocket, the quality is so poor it is almost unusable. Using the iPhone 4, the bluetooth worked very well, with high quality under all conditions.

To verify the problem is with the iPhone 5, I have paired it with 5 different bluetooth headsets, each one has the same problem with the iPhone 5, and each one works perfectly with the iPhone 4.

Is there any way to increase the gain on the bluetooth radio? Or fix this issue any other way?
