Q: iOS 6.1 Battery Drain Problem

I saw no increase in battery drain after the update. In fact it appears my phone battery is lasting longer.

Did you do your update Over The Air? Or through iTunes?

Just trying to see if this is similar to the 6.0.1 update that had a similar effect on iPhones updated OTA rather then through iTunes.

my iPhone 5's battery just got worse too

I'm glad to know I'm not alone. I updated over the air - could that have caused this problem? I also have an iPhone 5.

I updated my 4S this morning using iTunes (previous upgrades were OTA with no problem) and now the battery has been draining from full to empty in under 2 hours while sitting idle.

I have just reset network/carrier settings to default and it appears to be a little better. Will keep you posted.

Yupp...battery is dying so fast. I have and iPhone 5 and literally barley used it all day and it is at 49%. They need to fix this battery drainage :(

Yes! My Iphone 5 battery is dying very fast after the update . Even in airplane mode and phone in sleep drained abt 6% battery in 2 hours.

My iPhone 5's battery is also draining alot faster since upgrading to iOS 6.1 OTA...

My battery on iphone 4s has gotten horrible!  This update has completely made it to where my phone will not last an entire day.  This problem did not exist prior to the update of 6.1 a day or two ago.  What's going on Apple?
