Have manual. Haven't found anything in it of use in this respect. Do you know where they've hidden the info
Where is this file? If it's in an editor then there's probably a Trashcan somewhere onscreen. Or there is a list of documents. When you select one you may then click on an Edit button which puts a minus sign in a red circle. Click it to delete the item.
Do you mean files or apps?
Files. I have a number of photos I have transferred (copied) to another device. I would like to delete them from the IPad and free up space.
Where did those photos come from? Were they taken with the iPad or synced to the iPad from your computer?
Photos that were taken with the iPad (or any photos in the camera roll) can be deleted right on the iPad. Tap the trash can icon in the top right corner if you are viewing the photo in full screen, or if you are viewing as thumbnails - tap the arrow in the upper right corner - tap the photos that you want to delete and then tap - Delete.
Photos that were synced from your computer using iTunes can only be deleted by de-selecting them from the folder from where they were synced - and then re-syncing.
Remove them in iPhoto, then they will be removed from your iPad.
