why have apple users not received logic x yet?

I was certainly hoping Apple would have an anouncement with NAMM 2013 for a much needed Logic update but it seems like we are all getting the cold shoulder. Maybe Emagic should have held their reigns on this DAW after all. Even Motu DP8 show a vast improvement over Logic. I am not alone when I say the Logic user base needs their update.
