How do I edit my wedding DVD that is currently in the DVD Player application, i.e., I want to take of one song and video section to place it on a disc.

ooops...take off on song and video section to place it on a disc.
You would have to rip the entire video from the wedding video DVD and edit it in iMovie or Quicktime Player 7 with Quicktime Pro.
Handbrake will rip the non protected video DVD.
