Can anyone please help an old man? Why don't I have a software update" panel to tap? I only have " about" and "usage" panel directly below it. Mine is an iPod 2 with version 4.3.3. Cheers, Geoff

The Software update option was only added in iOS 5. before that it did not exist.
To upload you need to connect the device to a computer running itunes.
In the article you came from scroll down to the section titled Update your device using iTunes, and follow that.
Why don't I have a "software update" panel to tap? I only have "about" and "usage" directly below it . I have version 4.3.3 (8J2). Can anyone out there help an old dinosaur?
