I have two iPhones, a 4 and 4s. The 4 mandated a phone restore this morning, not sure why. Now, after performing the restore it thinks that it's tied to the ID for the 4S and the iCloud backup of the 4 can't be found.
Any ideas about what is going on here and how to restore the 4 to its original state?

But when you restored the iphone. Did it give you an option to restore from an icloud backup.
Dont know if you have done this. Maybe yes or no. Sign in from the 4 id and maybe it will show up.
Or everything is setup.

Thanks for this idea, but no this didn't work either. It's very odd. I guess I'm going to have to set it up as a new phone.
Im sorry i couldnt help.
But a new phone can fix many issues when restored. And you can start new. At least you have the 4s with nothing lost.

After restoring the phone maybe try again.
So I treated it as a new phone but twith the same ID as before. After setting it up, none of my apps or contacts were there but about 15 mins later the contacts showed up. Notes and apps are still missing but at least the contacts returned.
My phone was restored and now iCloud doesn't have my backup. What happened?
