Q: any update on a refined mountain lion os?

Any update on a refined mountain lion os? I now use  Snow Leapard which is nearly flawless. All the negative feedback makes me very hesitant.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Thank you for a complete misunderstanding of the line taken out of context. You sound like a fundamentalist preacher. My way is the only way. The rest of us are sinners going to burn in ****. What was your world like before there was a Snow Leopard? Do you have a clue, I wonder.

Just dealing with the disaster of "save as" will lose you TONS of work and thousands of hours until you completely change the way you've worked on computers from day one. Guaranteed.

I don't believe anyone has addressed this point:

Running Mountain Lion, simply hit the Option key and Save As will magically appear in the File menu and work as it did before. Guaranteed.

Yes, you are correct, I was referring to Lion.

What was "obvious" in the OP's question that was overlooked by all but you? I'm not testy because I'm an old user of Macs. I'm testy because of this crap:

DESPITE the raves here, more Mac COMPUTER users are still on Snow Leopard (TWO MAJOR OS's behind) than at any other time in Apple's history, and it's likely to stay that way. I run a recording and video studio, and we are on Snow Leopard FOREVER. Ditto all the ones I know of who haven't changed to another platform in disgust, and there are hundreds of those I know of personally.

    And this:

Just dealing with the disaster of "save as" will lose you TONS of work and thousands of hours until you completely change the way you've worked on computers from day one. Guaranteed.

And the general tone of that post of yours. You don't like Lion or Mountain Lion, fine. The hyperbole is not just unnecessary it's unhelpful.

I'm sorry you have a problem with the simple facts and statistics of the situation.

Thank you for a complete misunderstanding of the line taken out of context. You sound like a fundamentalist preacher. My way is the only way. The rest of us are sinners going to burn in ****. What was your world like before there was a Snow Leopard? Do you have a clue, I wonder.

The line was not taken out of context, as it was the first line in your response, AND repeated twice for emphasis.

As for the rest of your assumptions, you are indeed also wrong. Apple is far from perfect, and you are NOT Apple. One person's "rant" might well be another's salvation and yet another's bore.

However, as this is your Kingdom, and there is a strong chance you've helped ME in the past, either directly or indirectly, for which I am STILL grateful despite your uncharacteristic defensive reaction here, I'm leaving this thread now.

I'm not using an Intel Mac for that, but thanks for your concern.
