    Mac OSX Edition 2.0.11 (693)

Funny cause my other print program is working too.

    Print Explosion Deluxe 3.0

I called APPLE today and they said both programs should NOT be working....Which makes me believe...The transfer of the data and so forth did not go well and worries me that down the road I am going to have issues because of it.....

What to do? Go back to Apple and have them set the new macbook back....to factory and start over?

Let me suggest the answers may be in the programs themselves, not in the Mac OS.

Can you go to the sites that support these applications and pose your questions there.

It has happened, e.g. with Photoshop 3, that an early version would not run in Mountain Lion, but a later release with the same version number, was tweeked so it did run. (This created interesting debates here, but that is another story.)

    I will try that.....

I am just worried that these "programs' running on my mac book will cause troubles for the OS down the road..

What do you think of that?

  • Eustace Mendis Level 7 Level 7

Very unlikely. The OS is very robust and not prone to be bothered by bad programs.

  • MadisonsMom Level 1 Level 1

    Okay......

So I just went to the www.Mackiev.com

web site.....and there is an update to update LION and MOUNTAIN LION print shop.

WHY at APPLE are they telling me this program should not be running on here.

    WHO IS RIGHT???

  • Eustace Mendis Level 7 Level 7

They are both right, don't you think? Apple says the old version should not and cannot run on the new OS. So the folks that made the program have given you one that they claim will run.

    Good luck!

    CRAZY!

I don't know if I should leave it in.....or take it out....... HA!

I just don't want trouble down the road with this mac book.

    Thanks for the help.

I found the same update at Mackiev.com so it has clearly been rewritten for Intel and does not require Rosetta.  It should run on your Lion MacBook (but after I requested your Model Identifier for the 2nd time, you posted two blank responses).  I still do not understand what you mean by "returned to factory settings."

I cannot answer why Apple said anything incorrectly.  Not being a party to the conversation, maybe you asked the wrong question; maybe they gave the wrong answer.

I don't know why they came out blank...sorry!

    my old lap top (2007)

    was 2.2GHz Core Duo/2GB

    128MB VRAM 120 GB

    5400rpm

I bought it with Leporard in it....upgraded to snow leporard and then on to Lion.

I ran PRINT SHOP fine.... until I set it back to factory and downloaded Lion (didn't use the disc) I had purchased when I upgraded.

I am going to have to drop out of further comments on this thread.

    Best of luck to you!
