Q: Mac Book Pro randomly freezes and beeps

Since about a few days ago, my MacBook Pro (Early 2011, OSX Mountain Lion)  has been randomly freezing and just making a beeping noise.  It doesn't always happen and happens at completely random times.  Anyway, the computer will stay like this, frozen and beeping, until I do a hard reboot.  Does anyone know anything about how to fix this?  I haven't had anything done to the hardware for months.
