I started having the same problem last night after using RoboForm and creating a complex password. Solved the problem by:

1. Logged into Yahoo mail on computer.

2. Changed Yahoo password on computer.

3. Changed password on Iphone - - Settings, Mail, Yahoo, Account, Password.

4. Step 3 didn't work so backed up one page and deleted account.

5. Created Yahoo account -- Settings, Mail, Add Account

Everything works now.

My Father-in-laws phone just did this after the update... so Mr I.T. son-in-law to the rescue...

Steps:

• I deleted the account off the phone.

• Re added the account then it asked me to verify

• I clicked yup (or Ok or something) and then it opened safari...

• I put his login deets in and it spat an error saying wrong or something like that

• I closed safari

• I logged into his account on the computer.

• I then opened the mail settings again and tried to create it again and Hey Presto it setup and works fine now...

This has happened before when he upgraded to iOS 6 so I did the same thing then so it would seem whenever he updates the OS the mail drops off and needs readding... weird

Oh it was a Yahoo xtra account

Hello Applepeople:

In fact, I had the same problem today. I did like d4dammit explained above and now my E-mail account works perfectly.

Good day for everybody.

Think they fixed it!

Woke up this morning and suddenly i had mail. I just happened to re-enter my account yesterday and just saved it thinking i would try it again a some point. So re-add your account and wait 12 hours. My partner re-did his and it started working right away.

From another poster this is a yahoo response:

Some customers are unable to access their Yahoo! Mail account on a mobile device because of an "Invalid ID and Password" error.

To resolve this issue, you will need to remove your account entirely from the mobile device. Wait twelve hours before adding the account to the device again. Note:If you do not wait twelve hours, this issue will not be resolved.
