Right click the icons and select its Preferences. If there is an option to open at startup or add to menu bar, deselect it and restart your computer. If none of the above applies, go to System Preferences/Accounts/Login Items. Delete all the items that appear in your menu bar by selecting the "-" (minus) sign. Restart your computer.

Take a screen shot using the following keys - Apple/Shift/4. The cross hair shot will enable you to do the the exact size of shot you want to do.

Place the screen shot onto your desktop. In the "Basic reply window" click on the camera icon and follow the onscreen instructions. Click on "Use Advance Editor" then click the "Add Reply" button.

Again, post in the Mountain Lion forum area so that users using the same os as yourself will be able to help. Your issue is "os" related. You do not have a Macbook Pro technical issue.

How did you uninstall iStat Menus? The iStat application controls the menu bar items. If you uninstall just the application, it might not affect the menu bar. Before uninstalling the application, you should open the application and click the Uninstall button to remove all bits of the software associated with it.

Also, you can delete iStat Menus items in the same way that is standard for other menu bar items: Hold down the Command key and drag them off the menu.
