I want to be able to sync my iphone 4s to my imac. (Mainly I just want to upload my photos.) But it tells me I need a newer version of iTunes. When I try to install that newer version, it says I can't because I need a newer version of OS X (I have OS X 10.5.8). When I try to do a software update, it says I have no available updates! How do I get my photos onto my desktop???

So regardless I'm out $20. That *****. Does it matter which one I upgrade to? Also, how do I check how much disk space I have? I haven't used my mac in over a year, so I'm a little rusty on how to navigate it.
