Updated my iOS version and all my sample books and some PDF documents in iBooks have disappeared. Can't seem to see them on the iPad or on my iTunes account. Any suggestions on how to retrieve?
Does anyone know how to delete your download listing in iBooks also?

Assuming samples that have been downloaded don't appear in iTunes account
I just downloaded & installed IOS 6.1 and most of my saved PDF files in iBooks disappeared also (both on iPad2 & iPhone 5S). Is this a bug in the new software vesion and are the files retreivble? Sure would like to know as some important files are now missing!!
Any idea how we can contact Apple to find a dolution to this problem?
Same problem.
Had like 50 book samples on my iPad.
I had to replace my iPad for a technical issue.
Backed up my old iPad, replaced it with a new one, restored from backup and only my purchased books are still being loaded to my iPad....the 50 or so that I came across while shopping and downloaded samples of are missing.
This is not cool because how am I supposed to remember all of the books that I downloaded samples of?..that's the iPad's job!!!
I too have the same problem. What was odd is when I updated my iOS some of my pdf were showing (no cover just the titles) but then the next day they all disappeared. All my books are back, but not my PDFs. I'm scouring the Internet for solutions.
