Cannot update app !!

I have an iPad mini which I recently update with iOS 6.1.just yesterday I receive an update for an app.when I clicked the button update, the pop up message came out asking for apple id and password.i did insert my apple id and password.but then, the message disappear and the app was not updated.the app was asphalt 7 specifically.please help.
