You have to consult your e-mail provider, every e-mail client is bit bit different.
Ask your e-mail provider or go to their website.
Some use INBOX but you have to find out with your provider.

Go first to your Gmail account
Click on the Settins button and choose "Settings"
Click on the 6th tab entitled "Forwarding and POP/IMAP
There are three categories: Forwarding: POP Download: and
IMAP Access:
Go to the IMAP Access: category and it should read "Status: IMAP is enabled" If it reads anything else, than simply click on "Enable IMAP" and than log out of your gmail account and log back in.
Load the Mail application
On the menu bar...
