3G Issue IOS 6.1 - Iphone 5

I had same problem, but I figured out this way. It works 100%.

Go to SETTINGS => General => Cellular => Turn on the Cellular Data and Enable 3G, => Scroll down go to Cellular Data Network => APN (Type APN name (internet . . etc) Becaus almost every carriers have different APN name)

Now i am using my 3G.

I have the same issues after the update. Calling apple is useless. Calling my telco maxis, and the moronic customer service tells me to google "downgrade iOS 6.1 to 5.1"... Duh...

I did all the rests and restores to no solution... Frustrated. I just took out and put back the sim card with the ip5 on.... And voila... 3G and Edge is back... But now battery drains quite fast. Was at 100% at 9 am and now at 9 pm is at 33%. No browsing nor calls for the day. Just left the 3G on and was on standby.

Is that normal.

same problem here in Saudi Arabia i want to restore it back to ios 6.0.2

I am maxis user as well. Very annoying la. Have to on off the phone to get 3g. Have you actually solved the prob?? Is prob wif maxis or ios? My fren on digi n celcom not having this problem.

The software team at Apple who did this should be shown the door ! Did they do enough testing before the release or did this hastily ?? Where's the leadership on this tackling this ?? I still getting very slow data update when on 3G or LTE !!

I have the same problem in Chile with ENTEL.. any news about when apple is going to fix this??

Same here in Austria for me no 3G all the time in areas with poor 3G coverage. Before updating to iOS6.1 I had 1 to 2 lines in 3G, now it stays EDGE all the time!

I just pulled the sim card and then reinserted it, while the phone was on, and my data has been restored.

Same problem here in Malaysia!! This is biggest disappointment ever had with iOS. Hopefully the apple technicians been notified with our concerns and get this thing be fixed quick!! It's ******** be called smartphone OS whereby their iOS versions were having so many flaws in every updates !!!

Anywhere, any ideas on how to contact apple directly? I mean like send them an email?

A smartphone with no working internet connection is just useless a peace of cheap metal.

APN Settings are correct, resets are useless, downgrade not possible.

This is really a bad situation and it seams, that no one at apple or any big tech news site even recognizes this.

Really disppointing and this is the worst iOS Update ever.

Also here in Myanmar. I shouldn't have updated to 6.1. Please fix it ASAP.

same here from malaysia, maxis user... 2g no work at all, only get to internet when 3g. beside this, the wifi also no work at all

Apple install a profile in my iPhone 5 to check de problems with the 3G. I Talk with Apple California and they are testing my iPhone to look for the problem, they know that there are a couple of iPhone with the same problem and they are looking for the solution... They call me again on friday...
