    From what I read, I'd say that there are a couple of hundreds (or thousands) of iPhone with the same problem, and I hope that Apple is aware of this!


    Anyway, got the problem, sent the bug report .

    hi everybody, i tried to set the carier from "auto" to "manual", so far ok to use, if coverage only 2g then mean i have no network, only work with 3G coverage.

    I have since managed to sort mine out - when the phone was updated it wiped out the network settings.


    I was able to reset them by manually putting the information in:


    Settings - General - Cellular - Cellular Data Network and then I put in the correct details for APN, username and Password in the relevant sections and now it works OK.


    Hopefully it will work for others too

    Same here in Malaysia using Maxis plan. Stuck at Edge n cant connect to 3G aft updating ios6.1!

    Same problem in Argentina under Claro carrier.


    I've tried those manual settings (manually selecting carrier, turning on and off airplane mode, etc) and though they work, when I turn the 3G off it won't connect ever again, unless I do all the process again.


    So, I managed to create manually the APN profile for my carrier through a website in which you can access using Safari on the iPhone, and sets all de data automatically on it and installs the carrier profile. But not even that way I'm able to get my 3G connection working once or ever.


    I've restored it from zero uploading my backup afterwards, restored it again with no backup, restored network settings, and none of it worked either.


    Here I am, with an iPhone 5, one of the most amazing phones on the market........... with no 3G connection.

    Titi397 no se si leiste mi mensaje mas arriba, tambien soy de argentina, de movistar y desde iOS 6.1 no me anda mas el 3G. Estoy ayudando a Apple California a solucionar este problema, instalaron un perfil en mi telefono que se llama TelephonyDiagnostics debugging y estan controlando todos los registros de la telefonia de mi iPhone 5, el porcentaje de los que tenemos este problema es chico, por eso este bug no sale en ningun lado ni en ningun blog de Apple... Pero quedense tranquilos que Apple esta buscando cual es el problema que esta ocasionando esto.

    Yes there are thousands but there is 1% of the total of iOS devices with this problem. But Apple know about this problem, tomorrow the engineer who called me yesterday is going to tell me what he observed in my iPhone and I'm going to tell us here.

    My carrier here in Austria (Hutchison 3G) confirmed a couple of hours ago that there is a major problem with iOS 6.1 and the 3G connection. Apple is aware of the issue and they are already working with the carrier to solve the problem. I will give you an update as soon as I hear something from my carrier.

    Mati y como hiciste para instalarle ese perfil o que te lo instalen? Lo hiciste vos o te contactaste con alguien?? Me gustaría instalarlo en el mio tambien, todo sea para que lo solucionen de una buena vez. Es cualquier cosa tener semejante telefono sin 3G, ultimamente las actualizaciones siempre vienen dejando que desear, solucionan una y descomponen otra...
