Same here in Hong Kong, my iphone 5 keep searching for signal at my home which was stong signal before U update it to IOS 6.1. WIth the same service provider, my ipad mini shows strong signal at the same location, there should be bugs for iphont 5!

I would say the next thing to try is settings>general>reset all settings and if that does not work then (erase all content and settings) but you want to make sure you backup your device before doing that.

same problem in New Zealand, just updated to 6.1 and getting no 3G or no network at all. I have a Samsung in my left hand and iPhone 5 in my right. The Samsung has full 3G coverage and iPhone nothing. I can't even pick up a 3G network when turning airplane mode on and off. Looks like it might be time to trade in the apple!

    Same Problem in Switzerland!!!

That make me crazy!!! I am in a area where the 3G is not that great so i prefer to do may business calls with the EDGE net because with the 3G i have all the time big problems with the connection.

I was so happy when the Update came about the new Button where you can switch betwwen 3G and E..

But now with the iOS 6.1 it is a DESASTER again!

    I can't believe that!

    So please do another Update!!!!

Is it right, that there is no possibility to downgrade the iOS 6.1 back to the 6.0.1 or 6.0.2?

Hi everyone I have found a solution that's works and works for my friends.

Step 1: go to settings select carrier and turn off automatic

Step2: wait until you can see other carriers other than your own

Step:3 select a different carrier and wait until your phone says No Service

Step 4: then select your own carrier and you should now be back on 3G

Step 5: that's it don't reset your phone because this will reset all of the above! When your phone isn't showing a 3G signal just go to settings and turn on airplane mode and off again. That will force your 3G signal back!
