Q: 3G Issue IOS 6.1 - Iphone 5

Updated to IOS 6.1 and it seems that getting 3G signal is a lot harder. The places in which i got 3G signal since last IOS 6.0.2 I can't get now with the updated IOS 6.1. am I missing something?

In IOS 6.0.2 - i just turn on and off 3G data it gets me back connected to 3G. now even though i turn it on or off it is always edge... please help guys

same problem in italy, the iphone 5 cannot connect to 3g connection whit tim !!

Somehow a work around... but apple must patch it asap because not all people with iphone knows this thread and know what to do...

there isn't a valid patch in this moment.
monday apple released the ios 6.1 but this fix is not present!

That is why, I said that apple need to to patch it ASAP... because it is a bug in IOS 6.1.

Same problem in France with Bouygues Telecom.

The BigRed77's solution works but it's laborious.

Please fix bug !

JB is out... it can fix it... by setting the phone to connect always to 3g but it doesnt mean apple dont need to fix it asap...

Same here, in France. When I turn the 3G on, I need to wait 10-15 sec to be connected. It used to in 2 with the 6.0.1

I also cant get 3G in Sweden (operator Tele2). I cant even search for other carriers, after a while it gives up for me. Flight mode dont help either. iOS6.1 actually is a downgrade for me. I wish i could go back

Apple please fix this fast. I cant have a phone without 3G or even Edge, i can only call as it stands.

I encountered the same problem here in the Philippines. My friends who upgraded also didn't experience the same issue in their globe and smart iphone5s. I'm guessing there is problem because I am using a network which is not an authorized one. i use the Sun network while the authorized networks are Smart and Globe.

I'm hoping the apple guys can fix the problem soon.

Meanwhile 3G is now working after I followed the recommendation here (manually set network).

Same problem in Austria: 3G won't work properly - had to switch back to Edge. Hope this get's fixed soon, tried resetting the phone, reinstalling firmware etc. - nothing helped.

Same problem here in the UK on Vodafone. Everyone else has a great 3G signal on my network apart from me and my iphone 5. This has only been an issue since I upgraded to iOS 6.1. 3G does not work at all and the old trick of toggling airplane mode on and off doesn't work as it used to.

Come on apple sort it out!
