My email accounts are not being accepted on Ipad IOS. Gmail worked, but all others claim server incorrect even when identical settings to my MacBook. Any suggestions?

One at a time, delete the email accounts, then recreate them entering each piece of information manually. Be sure that if your provider does not use SSL that you have that switched OFF for both incoming and outgoing. Try using the default Port numbers first, if that doesn't work see if a port is giving on your MacBook that is different.
thanks for the tips...I've tried deleting and re-adding but without restarting. All settings I've done exactly the same, and has worked on iPhone before, just not this new ipad which I don't get how it's any different?
Should operate the same way...try a soft reset, aka reboot, by holding both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears and the iPad restarts, ignore the red slider along the way to the logo. That often will clear minor glitches.
Ralph or Demo, sorry to butt in here, but could you take a look at this thread of mine. After 10 minutes or less it's off the page and I'm not really getting anywhere. I'd really appreciate getting your take on this.

Thanks for all that. The reset didn't necessarily work first off, but I somehow selected the outgoing gmail server (or stumbled on the server list) and this somehow reset something causing the mail to start downloading, cheers
