I tried everything and nothing is working. The problem started because Safari froze and gave me a warning saying "Certain Files are Missing". I turned it off and have problems since. I hope nothing is perminant for this. Im worried. I also dont have a boot disk.
Sounds like your hard drive has failled.
Is it perminant?
The blinking question mark at boot means the machine can't find the start up drive.
Use the Snow Leopard DVD to start the machine. Insert it and restart while holding down the c key.
Use the Disk Utility app to "repair" the internal hard drive (if possible).
Tried the Snow Leopard DVD, it spat it out....

****! It booted up and once I got to the "Where to Install Mac OX" Screen and its given me no options for a disk. So im assuming the harddrive just doesnt work now. Is there anthing else i can do? I just want to take m files off the computer, I have a decade of photos on there that will be lost...
When started from the DVD use the Disk Utility app to see if your can repair the internal drive.
If it can't be repaired then your files may be lost forever.
Still getting the Question Mark Folder Start up.
