Help with moving itunes library to new computer

I got a new 2012 iMac with fusion drive.

On my 2010 mac, my itunes library was on a secondary drive, so the path does NOT match up of the music library files.

I want to move the library so that everything is intact (playlists, stars, etc)

When I open itunes on new computer, it "sees" the library, but can't find any files. When I try to play a song itunes can't find it -- I locate the song and it asks if it would like to find the library based on the other song. I do that but then the beach ball runs and runs.

I tried foillowing directions in this article: http://lifehacker.com/5971326/move-your-itunes-library-to-another-hard-drive-in- three-simple-steps. On the third step, it says I can't do it because of a permission problem????
