Q: Apparently my Mac (late 2008) doesn't support AirPlay, is there any kind of software or hardware that I can install so that I can use my apple TV with my computer?

Apparently my MacBook Pro (late 2008) doesn't support AirPlay, is there anything I can do to update it so I can use my AppleTV with my Mac?

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

Hi PoolMann,

first try to restart your AppleTV.

If this don't work, do the following:

• Go to "system preferences" -> "displays" -> check if you have activated the "show mirroring options..." checkbox (bottom left)

There are third paerty applications such as AirParrot.

Having tried it and been disappointed, I suggest you trial it or other alternatives before paying for it.
