Is there a way to download photos to my iPad from my Canon camera?

You will probably have to import your photos to your computer or iPhoto on your computer first.
Then you will be able to load the pictures from your computer to your iPad.
Unless there is some sort of 3rd party App for that, this is likely your best option.

I have a CF Card Reader for my iPad 3 which lets me transfer images from my EOS 5D. I think I got it from Amazon, but it was a while ago.
