Install 10.6 on a new drive
Hi, so here's the story: I got my Macbook with Tiger (10.4), then upgraded it to Snow Leopard (10.6) and succesfully used it until my hard drive crashed. I didn't see that coming so I don't have a backup. I bought a new hard drive, placed it and launched the Snow Leopard installation disk, but after booting from it I get the message that I need version 10.5 or earlier to install from this disk.
Speaking legally, does that mean I should actually buy a new Leopard (10.5) install disk to get this to work? That would be crazy.
