How do I keep a calendar unchecked on my iPhone?

I have my iPhone calendar synced to my Google calendars. I have 3 Google calendars, but only want 2 to push notifications/show up on my iPhone calendar. Every time I uncheck the 3rd calendar on my iPhone, it automatically re-checks and continues to push notifications. How can I stop this without unsyncing all Google calendars?
