Q: My Ipad 2 is stuck in recovery mode after the update 6.1

Just did Techmadness's end-around and it worked!

Don't go to the Apple store. I did before this fix and they couldn't restore it, even after using four different computers, saying to wait for Apple to fix it themselves and try an iTunes restore again after a few days.

Dude I tried downloading the link you gave out on a MAC computer it downloaded but when I open the file it opens Itunes alone but nothings pops up and when I press shift nothing happens either please help step by step this is really starting to **** me off I don't know what to do and I have a Mac computer

I'm in the Uk and did this on win7 pc

It works on the Mac but you replace the 'shift' key with the 'option' key.

Don't panic Wavyrye, use the OPTION or COMMAND key instead of SHIFT when doing this on a MAC.

Also, do not open the file directly, follow the instructions again mate.

Open iTunes

Connect ipad

Hold option/command button when you click restore

Find the downloaded file

Restore your ipad

Restore ipad from iCloud or iTunes backup

Your done.

i know i am seriously blonde but what is the option key? even tough i cant get mine to work cause im a girl you guys do rock, apple suck big time ive been on the phone with them for 12 hours today and am now claiming on my insurance which will take 2 weeks

I don't have a physical mac, only a virtual one so its either the option or command key you need pictured.
