May 4, 2013 11:29 PM in response to niaz44by niaz44,it FIXED !!
finallyyy !!
I don't really know what happened actually since I've spent hours just to read lots of forums related to this problem *though most of them weren't that helping* , but I eventually hit restore button without holding shift to select manual firmware then the awaited apple logo with waiting bar was there!
Thanks a lot everyone *muachh*

May 4, 2013 11:30 PM in response to niaz44by Techmadness,For recovery/ update families please go to the front of this thread and follow my instructions there. To fix the 3194 error please try the following:
Fix iTunes Error 3194 During iOS Update
In most cases, it’s because of a simple problem with the hosts file. Here’s how to fix it:
For Windows, navigate to C:/Windows/System32/drivers/etc/ and find the file that’s named “hosts”
For Mac, the file is in /etc/
Open the file in Notepad (or any other text editing software) (for Windows users, open this with Administrator Privileges)
You’ll mostly have this line at the bottom of the file:
74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com
Either comment this line out by typing a single ‘#’ (without the quotes) in front of the line (before 74) or remove the line entirely.
Now, save the hosts file and then try updating your iPhone through iTunes.
In most cases, the error shouldn’t pop up now.
Cheers
TM

May 4, 2013 11:32 PM in response to niaz44by Techmadness,Then you were using the wrong manual firmware file, glad it's sorted.
You should now check which firmware version you have, that now works, head over to that website and download a copy of it in case the next update kills your pad again.

May 5, 2013 12:14 AM in response to Techmadnessby niaz44,thankyou both techmadness and varshini !!
actually I want to stay in 6.1.2 that's why I want to use the firmware you mentioned earlier, but somehow error kept occuring then that one click made my ipad in 6.1.3
However, it's really much better than having dead ipad stuck on your desk *it's seriously frustrating*
Thankyou again..
Anyway, that firmware you first mentioned, it was written 6.1
is it 6.1.2 or earlier version? I'm just wandering whether I couldn't install it since the firmware is the earlier version than mine *is it counted as downgrade?*

May 10, 2013 8:57 AM in response to eztine20by tornado_alley78,eztine20,
You can try installing iTunes on another computer. Then connect your iPad to it and let it do a restore without you manually downloading any firmwares. See if that helps.

May 10, 2013 9:31 AM in response to eztine20by niaz44,Has it fixed?
have you tried adding #74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com in the host file in C/windows/system32/drivers/etc ?
open the file with notepad and add it at the bottom.
*from varshini*
after that try that restore button once again.
hope that would work
