Uninstalling Baidu?

Baidu, a chinese web-search engine, recently took over my iPad and basically hijacked it. It had asked if I wanted to choose it as my search engine and unwittingly i complied. The search engine took over and I think it introduced a virus to my iPad because my email account is now being used to send spam. How do I uninstall this program and undo what happened?
