I downloaded the Mountain Lion upgrade from Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and it appeared to install just fine. The next day I started up my computer and it seemed fine though booted rather slowly. Today when I tried to start the laptop it will not finish booting. I have 4GB of ram and a 250GB hard drive with about 200GB+free. I get the Apple logo then it just spins and never boots. I tried Command+R on restart and had it verify the harddrive. It found no problems. I'd appreciate advice on what to try next. Since it cannot boot, I don't really know if I have the 10.8 or 10.8.1 or 10.8.2. I just downloaded from the Apple store on Sunday, Jan. 27 so I assume I got the 10.8.2. Thanks. If Mountain Lion won't work with my MacBook which I bought in 2009, I believe, how do I go back to Snow Leopard 10.6.8?
