Serious problems with NHL Gamecenter Live App

Many applications you download from the App's/iTunes store, and not created by Apple, and therefore Apple would not have the troubleshooting steps or instructions for this application.

If you were to go back to the iTunes store page for this application. There you will see there is a link for "support" for this application. You must follow this link to contact the developer of this application.

The Gamecenter Live service on Apple TV is an absolute travesty. Likewise, I also am getting blacked out on games on my apple tv, where I can watch no problem on my ipad & computer. When I finally get through to a game, the quality is glitchy, the game is more than 2-minutes behind LIVE, and often cuts out.

I have been a huge supporter of Apple for many years, owning 3 MacBook's, 2 iPhone's, an iPad, an Apple TV and a handful of accessories. But, what has been happening to their products over the course of the past 6-months has me wondering when my time to switch will be. There are a lot of great competitors out there that seem to have a better grip on making things work, as of late. As a consumer, thats what I want, something that works.

Apple must do something for all the frustrations it has caused me and many others as of late, and it better be soon. Otherwise, I will be jumping ships.

Seemed like in just the last week, the audio delayed behind the video on Apple TV. It's gotten so bad, that I just mute the audio: it's off by almost a full minute of playing time: pathetic.

I haven't tried it on my iPad yet, but am about to...and surprise: the iPad app is in sync, plus it's coming through in HD, instead of faux-HD like Apple TV...

I'm about to do the same thing- complain to the NHL- but I see how well that went down for the players on the recent lockout...

There's no Support link for Apple TV on the iTunes store...you have to contact the NHL about it...

Hilarious...I reset Apple TV: and the audio and video re-synched. 😉

Really a bad app: may as well have bought the Center Ice subscription instead of this.

I have been experiencing the same problem within the last week and it is driving me crazy. The video loads fine and looks good in HD but the audio is not in sync with the video. I will have to stop and reload the game and it works until there is a commercial than it just happens all over again.

NHL GAMECENTER LIVE for Apple TV absolutely STINKS! I am CONSTANTLY having to back up and log back in because the game wont return from intermission, it just stays on that screen. It is also CHOPPY AS ****! I don't have this problem on my laptop or while watchng on my Roku upstairs. Apple should be doing better quality control on the apps it allows for its devices. I am SERIOUSLY considering ******** and moaning, cancelling my accound and asking for my money back for gamecenter. This is absolutely ridiculous.

Been having intermittent problems watching Rangers games using this app on their MSG feed. Sometimes the audio is also out of synch. Sent numerous complaints to the Gamecenter folks but all I get is a generic autobot response. The other feeds including the Islander MSG feed usually work fine so I don't get this at all. When it works picture and sound qualities are both excellent.

I've been extremely disappointed with this app as well. The NHL has no regard for consumers of this product. Thankfully, I've discovered that the Ryoku NHL app works a lot better. I am a huge Apple fan, but when it comes to watching hockey, I have to do it on the Ryoku. I can't speak for anything else with the Ryoku though.

This season the app on AppleTV seems way more reliable than last year. The video quality is especially much better. The only real issues now is that the games don't start on time, usually a few minute delay but all I miss is the pregame stuff and the timeout and between period broadcasts seem to come and go. Don't care about missed commericals but I would like to see the between period MSG broadcast stuff all the time.
