Hello, i have a powerbook g4 12 1.33ghz and i've read about them having problems with frying Dc boards. What is this and how can I prevent it from happening to mine?

It means the board has burned out and needs to be replaced.
But what is a dc board and how can i prevent burning it?
It's a board that converts electricity from AC to DC or DC to DC depending on what's required. You can't do anything to prevent it from going bad. Either it does or it doesn't.
You can get one at this link if you really want to be prepared for the worst. They have the take apart instructions for just about any Mac too.
