My Macbook Pro 13" (mid '09) battery does not charge, even with a new battery

Hi all,

My Macbook Pro 13" (mid '09) battery does not charge, even with a new battery. It says 'Status: replace now'. I tried to reset SMC (using ctrl+alt+shift+power), but nothing helps.

Edit: I also replaced the MagSafe adapter, but still nothing..

Does anybody know what I could try to do?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6)

Is this a new Apple battery? If so bring it to an Apple store for evaluation and probable replacement. If it is a third party battery, it may be suspect.
