I cannot get my AirPort Express to be recognized by the AirPort Utility. The Express continues to have a blinking amber light. I have reset it according to instructions, and have unplugged and replugged my Airport Extreme.

I cannot get my AirPort Utility to recognize my AirPort Express. I have an AirPort Extreme set up as the base station. It is connected to my modem by cable, has a solid green light and seems to be functioning correctly. I just replaced by modem, and have been setting up my Extreme and Express. I use my Express as a wireless network extender and had used it OK with my Extreme and the old modem. Now, I can't get the AirPort Utility to recognize the Express to get it set up and function properly. I have did the reset with the paperclip in the Express, but still a no show on the Utility. I am at the low end of tech savy, but can follow instructions OK. Can anyone help me with this challenge?

AirPort Extreme 802.11n (4th Gen), Windows 7

Problem solved thanks to Bob Timmon's reply to JBrasile on 8/5/2012 (12:29 p.m.). Suggestion was to do a hard reset on the AP Express, restart the PC and open AP Utility. The AP Express appeared in the Utility, I made the necessary changes/updates and now have a "green light" AP Express.

Thank you Bob Timmons.
