mac os x 10.7.5 kernel panic

I have a different hard drive in my late 2008 Macbook Pro 5,1. Is there a workaround to get past this kernel panic when updating from Lion 10.7.4 to 10.7.5? I keep having to restore back to 10.7.4 for everything to work right again. I had no problems with updates/upgrades all the way from Leopard to Snow Leopard to Lion with the different hard drive which has been installed since late 2009. I have seached the internet for months with no good solution. What gives with this update to Lion 10.7.5?

Thanks everyone for your help.
