Feb 12, 2013 9:22 AM in response to dumky2by dumky2,I was able to so;ve the intermittent wifi connection problem on ipod touch 5 with iOS 6.1 by doing a network reset, as suggested above in the thread. Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Things are smooth again

Feb 12, 2013 9:54 AM in response to Roxy10101010by DVMfromVA,I did the network reset and both my wifi and cellular data speed are back up. Once in a while the signal drops but definitely it's better than before!

Feb 12, 2013 10:27 AM in response to Roxy10101010by Lair1970,OK so it now looks like on my iPhone 5 iwth iOS 6.1 the LTE network is conflicting with my home wifi (Airport Extreme). At the Apple store the LTE signal is lost in and wifi works like a charm. At home tired all of the "fixes"
-No security
-WEP
-Reset network,
-Complete reset and reload on the phone
-ETC ETC ETC
Just turned off the cell radio and it worked. Turned on the cell radio but kept LTE off and it worked.
Apple let's get a fix so we can use your "great" phone. I have just received a BB Z10 from work and it seems to work flawlessly.

Feb 12, 2013 1:51 PM in response to Roxy10101010by MstrJoey,Hi, my wifi button is grayed out too, and updating my iPhone to iOS 6.1.1 didn't work at all. I ran out of MB so now I can't even connect into the internet. I tryied everything, from reseting network connections to restoring the iPhone completely, nothing works. I'm from Venezuela so obviously I can't send my iPhone to be fixed. At first wifi just dropped, now its grayed out. Lost all my apps on the restore process :/. I'm using an iPhone 4s, 32GB, bought it less than a year ago.
If someone on Apple is reading this, PLEASE work on it. Im desperate, really, I need my Wifi connection, otherwise i miss out on work stuff.
PLEASE work on this, I really trust you guys.
Hope you find a solution soon enough.

Feb 12, 2013 4:54 PM in response to MstrJoeyby MstrJoey,Ok, so here's the deal, putting the iPhone in the fridge for half our did work, it unlocked the wifi button so now I can turn it off and on. Nevertheless, it's still not conecting to any network for more than 30 seconds, and now it doesn't even recognize any around me (and there are lots, trust me).
So, problem half fixed.
Dear Apple, could you please work on this issue asap?
Thanks.

Feb 13, 2013 4:28 AM in response to Roxy10101010by Clairelh83,I am having major issues with this new update, and quite frankly it's very annoying. In my household there are 2 iphones and 2 ipads, all of which were working fine before the update. Both iphones and ipads now won't connect to the wifi since the update. It is getting very frustrating, I wish I had not done the update and will be wary in future. Why havn't apple come out with a statement or ways to fix the problem as looking through various threads it had been going on for some time. The phones especially are due for an upgrade soon, if things arn't sorted asap then we'll be seriously thinking about moving away from apple.
*Note to self, read others verdicts before attempting an update!

Feb 13, 2013 10:10 AM in response to Roxy10101010by jamesfrombarcelona,Tried everything - my wifi wasn't working before I downloaded the ios 6.1.1 upgrade, then still had issues.
Eventually, after resetting the networks, turning the aiplane mode on and then off, then manually entering my wifi SSID & password seemed to do the trick...
