I followed instructions but when the airport utility launches, it goes nowhere. There are no further options as it keeps searching for a network.
Are you attempting to launch the AirPort Utility that comes with OS X Mountain Lion or another version? If another version, which one is it?
I'm not sure. I recently upgraded the operating system.
If you are not sure which operating system you are using, click the Apple icon in the upper left corner of the screen. Then click About This Mac.
Post back with the OS X Version number that you see there.
Hi, it's Mac OSX 10.8.2
I will let Tesserax take it from here since he answered initially.
Please try temporarily connecting your Mac directly to the AirPort using an Ethernet cable, and then, try accessing it with the AirPort Utility again. Were you successful this time?
