Ipod touch 5th generation wont restore

Hi

My ipod's password was entered wrong too many times and now it says " ipod disabled, connect to itunes".

My ipod has never been syncronised before. So i put it into recovery mode. The computer says that it has to update the ipod first so i start updating it.

Once the update is completely finished downloading, it just returns to the original screen of the restoration and nothing has happened to the ipod.

Please help.

Thanks

iPod touch

Maybe:

Restore loop (being prompted to restore again after a restore successfully completes)

Troubleshoot your USB connection. If the issue persists, out-of-date or incorrectly configured third-party security software may be causing this issue. Please follow Troubleshooting security software issues. .

Next try placing in DFU mode and then restoring.

Then try restoring on another computer.

Last, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.
