Uploaded all the latest firmware, printer is on and visible to the Ipad app, Epson printer finder. But the printer is not visible to Airprint under the 'Notes' app.

The print finder app has nothing to do with AirPrint.
Installing it will not make your printer AirPrint compatible.

Is your printer wifi enabled, not USB?

Yes, the printer is on the Wi-Fi, not USB cable, and is on the Airprint list of printers. Gone through all the trouble shooting steps w/o success. Other ideas?
Turn your router off, on.
Still no joy; the printer is on the network via wifi. Did the router off/wait/on dance w/o success. When I say that the Epson printer finder sees the printer I mean I.P. address, etc.... but the Airprinter doesn't know it exists.
The O.S. is 5.1.1 and up to date. Airprint just doesn't know the printer exists, whether through NOTES or Safari (and I assume others).
It's not enough that the printer is on Wi-Fi--it must also support the AirPrint protocol.
If you have a Mac at home on the same local network, you can try a free demo of the Printopia software to see if that works (the Mac must be on any time you want to print for this to work):

I've got the same issue. The WP-4530 is an AirPrint compatible printer. Marty what kind of router do you have? I'm at a loss. Have you tried contacting Epson support?
I think I've got it to work. In my case the issue was the router. Changed one of the settings (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=45869.0) and updated the router firmware. Dlink *****

Airprint won't see the printer even though the Epson printerfinder App was installed and sees the printer.
