How do I turn off the voice activation? Everytime I touch it a voice reads or repeats

Yesterday i did something that everytime i touch the screen I get this voice giving me directions. I went to settings and then to general then to sounds and I get nowhere. When I go to mail it just says you have so many messagw but i can only open the last one that i read yesterday. The mess all started when I was on my PC and ITunes l had new software to download.
