Ipod Touch 4th Generation Battery

Hello,

I own an Ipod Touch 4th generation. I think I may be having Battery Issues.

I have about 20 Apps downloaded on it (not including the factory default apps), and 33 songs. I do Imessage my friends and Facetime them too.

But, the problem is, everytime I play a game, like Temple Run, or Icecream Jump, the battery seems to go down like 5% (I have an App called IBattery Free, which tells you the percent of your battery).

I will need to charge my battery every single day. I keep my brightness all the way down, turned off location services, turned off notifications (But I do leave on Imessage and Facetime), and I put fetch mail to manually. I also wait until I see the black plug sign in the battery icon (to make sure its fully charged). There is an IOS version available: 6.0.1

Should I upgrade to that IOS to see if it does anything? Also, it seems that, I am connected to wifi, then I put the Ipod to sleep, then I wake it up again, then it shows that I am not connected to wifi, but, after I enter my passcode, the wifi shows as connected?

Help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Pizza98704

P.S. I do keep it on overnight (on sleep) with wifi on.

Updating can improve battery life (sometimes) I recommend you update your iPod Touch to iOS 6.1 and see if that helps. Be sure to run your battery all the way down and charge it fully after updating. If that doesn't work, try restoring your iPod (this will erase all of your data, so be sure to back it up first) and then restore from backup. If that doesn't work, try restoring again, but this time, do not restore from backup. If none of the above works, take it in to your local Apple Store for a replacement. Is you iPod Touch under warranty?
